Holy Week @ ECC Princeton
Holy Week is the remembrance and celebration of Jesus Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection. We gather together to mark these events as a community, and all are welcome.
Maundy Thursday
Thursday, April 2 @ 6:00 pm
The night before he died, Jesus gathered with his friends for a meal. We will gather in the Fellowship Hall on the lower level of the church building for a simple soup supper, foot washing service, and communion.
Good Friday
Friday, April 3 @ 6:30 pm
This simple service invites us to wonder at God’s great love for humanity, demonstrated in Christ’s death on the cross. The service of Scripture, music, and prayer concludes with the stripping of the altar by members of this year’s confirmation class.
Easter Sunday
Sunday, April 5 @ 8:30 am & 10:30 am
We celebrate our Lord’s great triumph over sin and death by gathering to praise God and rejoice in the hope of our own resurrection. Two worship services will be offered. Nursery care at both 8:30 am and 10:30 am; MissionKids classes during the 8:30 service only.
Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
But they shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!”
He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?”
