At ECC Princeton, we serve together in ministry teams: flexible groups of 3 or more people empowered to serve others in their unique areas of calling and giftedness.

Teams make ministry happen!

Every team falls under one of our four mission priorities – Worship, Faith Formation, Congregational Life, and Outreach – or in the support area of Operations.

Are you looking for a place to use your spiritual gifts and connect with other believers? Ministry teams can help you find your fit!

FEATURED MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

  • Audio-Visual team members are trained to serve in running the sound board, video camera, or projection laptop. This team makes our Sunday worship service accessible to both in-person and at-home worshippers!
  • Nursery caregivers welcome and care for infants and toddlers age 2 and younger. All nursery caregivers serve in teams of 2 or 3 background-checked individuals.
  • Cleaning team volunteers make our building a welcoming space by donating about an hour of time each month to clean one area of the church.
  • CovKids team members encourage children’s growth in faith at our Wednesday night classes, where friendships, Bible stories, and fun activities help them find their place in God’s big story.

WORSHIP SERVICE TEAM

This team makes weekly worship services and special events happen. If you’re interested in serving as a musician, vocalist, Scripture reader, or audio-visual tech (cross-training in both sound and visual equipment provided), this team can help!

WELCOME TEAM

Do you love making people feel welcome? This team helps people with the gift of hospitality get connected as ushers, greeters, and more.

CARE AND VISITATION TEAM

If you have a heart for those in need, this may be the team for you! This group puts hands and feet to the love of Jesus by serving those in need, from birth through death, through phone calls, meals, cards, and visits (depending on safety guidelines).

PRAYER TEAM

Jesus said, “Apart from me, you can do nothing.” All our service to each other and our community is empty unless it flows from hearts that are experiencing the personal love of Jesus. This team provides opportunities for us to rest in and work with Jesus through prayer.

GRIEFSHARE

If you have ever experienced grief, you know how lonely and disorienting it can be. The GriefShare team offers a 13-week grief recovery support group that offers video seminars, group discussions and opportunities for personal reflection in a safe, understanding environment. If you know the difference a compassionate friend can make in a time of pain, consider joining the GriefShare team.

LOCAL AND GLOBAL OUTREACH TEAMS

Because God’s love takes action, so do we. These teams help move us outside our walls with the love of Jesus – into our Bureau County community and beyond.

FACILITIES & MAINTENANCE TEAM

Facilities & Maintenance Team oversees care of our physical building and grounds, ensuring that our spaces are safe, welcoming environments for people in all areas of our mission priorities – worship, faith formation, congregational life, and outreach.

Are you interested in joining one of these teams? Or maybe God has given you a heart for a ministry that doesn’t seem to be covered here? Tell us more! New ministry teams can form by gathering at least 3 members, creating a ministry plan, and submitting it to the Leadership Council for approval.
