What Should I Expect?
How long is a service?
Worship services at ECC Princeton are about an hour and 10 minutes long. Each service includes a call to worship (an invitation to focus our attention on God’s presence with us), songs of worship led by a worship team, and prayer. We offer a short children’s moment that is specifically designed to help the youngest worshipers interact with Biblical truth. Then a short passage from the Bible is read, and a pastor shares a message to help us understand the passage and see how it helps us to think and live as followers of Christ. If it’s the first Sunday of the month, the service will also include a celebration of Communion; any follower of Jesus is welcome to participate in communion, regardless of church membership.
How should I dress?
We’d like you to feel at home, so please wear what makes you comfortable. (That’s what we do! Many of us dress casually, but others like to dress up a bit.) Wear what you like, and you’ll be warmly welcomed.
What about my kids?
Jesus welcomed children, and so do we. We offer worship activity bags for kids when they arrive, to help them engage in worship and explore their God-given approach to learning through play. Noise is normal and wiggles are welcome. If a snack would help your child, feel free to bring one along.
Nursery & MissionKids: A nursery for children under 3 is offered during the 9:00 am service on our lower level (register here). MissionKids classes (preschool and elementary) are also offered during the 9:00 am service; for details or to register, visit our Kids page. In all our children’s ministries, safety is our top priority.
I have some physical challenges. Am I welcome?
Yes! We have accessible parking near the front and back entrances. (Please note: only the front entrance is wheelchair-accessible.) The sanctuary on the upper level is accessible via the elevator, which is located at the front entrance in the main lobby. Accessible restrooms are located on the lower level via the same elevator. ECC Princeton is committed to learning and growing as an accessible place. If there is any barrier we can remove, please let us know and we will do our best to address it immediately.
